8/12 Roof Pitch Information
8/12 Roof Pitch 33¾ Degrees
Also referred to as 8/12 roof slope, 8 on 12, 8 to 12 and 8/12 roof angle
Roof pitch is the amount of rise a roof has in relation to the roof’s horizontal measurement, known as the run. If a roof rises 8 inches in a length of 12 inches, the roof pitch is 8/12. Roof pitch angle of 8/12 = 33.69 degrees.
The 8/12 roof appears more appealing to my eyes, and if I had to look at my house every day as I drove up the driveway or worked in the yard, I’d be happier with an appearance that I preferred rather than one that I had to compromise on in order to save money, same with shag carpet and Formica, but these can always be replaced later when finances are in better shape, whereas this is very different.
